This is an incredibly short film I shot to pay on a weekend backpacking trip. It is a testament to guerrilla shooting, and how powerful the post production process can be. I only had my camera and two lenses, which made it sort of difficult to get any still shots. I wound up clipping my camera strap to the top of my backpack (a clever idea suggested by my buddy Chase, seen in the video with the American flag on his pack), and just letting it hang down to be ready at a moment’s notice. I spent a lot more time enjoying the mountains than filming (the foothills of the Appalachians are mesmerizing), but in the end I feel the material that I was able to capture wove a nice little narrative. I hope you enjoy it!
